This 49-year old woman (at the time when she came to us for her first session of liposuction 3 years ago) had whole body liposuction in London by another surgeon 5 years ago. The result was unsatisfactory as the surgeon did not perform 3-dimensional liposuction like what Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie does. This patient eventually flew from New Zealand where she lived, to Medan to look for Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie for a revision liposuction 2 years and 9 months ago. The unhappiness resulted from an incomplete arms liposuction, where fat was aspirated from over a very small segment of the back of the arms, not even the whole circumference of the arms, leaving behind fat in the shoulders, armpits and upper back, resulting in “drumstick” arms.
