Video 1: Doc, I have been going to slimming centers and spent thousands of dollars, but my tummy is still so big. I want to be slim and sexy! Is it possible?

The following is the explanation provided by Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie. What slimming centers do to help you lose weight, is by making you adopt a healthy lifestyle, which includes increasing physical activities and decreasing calories intake. However, when you lose weight this way, the number of fat cells in your body remain the same. They shrink in size as a result of exercising and dieting. When you do not exercise and diet, your fat cells increase in size again as extra calories are being stored in them. Liposuction, on the other hand, removes the fat cells permanently by taking them out of the body. Hence, after liposuction one often realizes that the lipo-ed areas stay relatively slim even when they gain weight, as there are less fat cells in those areas to store extra calories, as compared to other non-lipoed areas. To achieve good result, liposuction must be done in a 3-dimensional manner, meaning the entire length and circumference within the same segment must be done together. In the case of abdominal liposuction, not only the frontal abdomen (upper and lower abdomen) is addressed, but also the waist, the flanks and the love handles/lower back. Only with such 3D-liposculpting, can one achieve good result.

Video 3: Intra-operative video of abdominal liposuction.

It appears that only this video is allowed by the ultra-conservative and religious YouTube now.

Video 4: Left abdominal liposuction.

This video compares the left and right side of the abdomen after left abdominal liposuction is completed by Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie (www.elixirdevie.sg). Unfortunately, this video may be considered pornography by YouTube. Although it is only abdomen which is shown, with breasts and pubic areas being covered with surgical drapes, but the ultra-conservative and religious YouTube believes that women are allowed to show ONLY their eyes in public. All other parts of their bodies must be covered with black cloth!
