This athlete and martial artist in her early-50s flies all the way from New York City to Medan, because she was disappointed with the result of the abdominal liposuction she had in New York. Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie refused to perform a revision liposuction because it was just done 5 months ago. Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie requires that a minimum of 6 to 12 months have lapsed after liposuction performed by another surgeon before he would perform a revision. This is to allow adequate time for full recovery in order for him to assess correctly the result of the previous surgeries. As Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie refuses to touch her abdomen, this patient requests for arms liposuction to be done. She understands the limitation of liposuction in a middle-aged woman, that the result would not be as good as someone in her 20s, because of the degree of skin laxity she has.
