Another marathon runner in her mid-40s comes to Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie for autologous fat grafting facial rejuvenation. As an athlete, we may have extremely lean and toned physiques. However, we cannot prevent our bodies from burning fat away from our face. That is why although athlete have young-looking physiques, they have old-looking faces! Fortunately, we can always inject fat into our face to make it young again! This patient has had fillers injections into her mid-face, but she is tired of having to get regular injections, which are pretty costly considering that fillers are charged by the volume (typically SGD 800 per 1 cc), while fat injection is charged by procedure not by volume. Fat grafting also typically lasts so much longer. In Dr Arthur Tjandra‘s hands we have seen 80-90% survival rate of fat grafting to breasts after 5 years, and 75-85% survival rate of fat grafting to face after 5 years. Unfortunately, we do not have loyal clients who are loyal enough to return to us for us to take photos and videos beyond 5 years.
