This young woman in her late 20s first came to Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie 8 years ago, to have whole body liposuction done. Her case study was previously published on our website Liposuction Case Studies, Case No. 23. She now returns for another liposuction on her abdomen, as well as her jowls and neck/double chin, after gaining 10 kg of weight. Amazingly, even after gaining 10 kg of weight, the shape of her entire thighs and lower body remain amazingly good as before! Although her abdomen and torso gets a lot fatter, the hour-glass shape which Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie has sculpted for her 8 years ago, is still well-maintained. This case illustrates the importance of getting 3-dimensional liposuction done, because even if one gains weight after liposuction, the beautiful shape will still be maintained. Fat will be distributed evenly as all areas have been lipo-ed. However, if some areas have been lipo-ed and some areas have not been lipo-ed, fat will accumulate more in non-lipoed areas, aggravating the unevenness even more!
