This woman in her late-30s kicked up a big fuss when she saw Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie for follow-up in Singapore, 6 months after Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie performed arms liposuction for her. She visited Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie after botched liposuction surgery in Taipei.

This is a list of her case studies:

Session 1:

Patient No. 481, Session 1: Result of botched lower buttocks liposuction in Taipei resulting in drooping and sagging buttocks

Patient No. 481, Session 1: Autologous fat grafting to buttocks to correct botched buttocks liposuction

Patient No. 481, Session 1: Arms liposuction on a slim woman: A Masterpiece!

Session 2:

Patient No. 481: You call the result of this arms liposuction your masterpiece? Damn you! I want a refund!

Patient No. 481: Result of autologous fat grafting to buttocks to correct botched liposuction in Taipei, 6 months later

Patient No. 481, Session 2: Touch-up upper back liposuction and autologous fat grafting to buttocks

When she saw Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie, she exclaimed, “Look at the botched job you have done on my arms! Look at all the dents and grooves and unevenness you have created on my arms!” She pointed to the grooves and definitions of her deltoids, biceps and triceps! Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie was so stunned and speechless, not knowing what to say!

Unfortunately, she is not the first patient to complain about arms muscles definition which becomes obvious after liposuction. Unfortunately she is also not the first patient to have no knowledge of what normal arms without fat appear like. We encourage everyone to read case study: Patient No. 502, to decide on whether or not they prefer a high-definition liposuction or a non-high-definition liposuction. By default, Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie performs high definition liposuction on all patients, because he loves muscles and he does not like to hide muscles under fat. For those who hate their muscles, there are 2 options: leave a significant layer of fat behind to hide the definition of muscles, or do not exercise or do even the slightest work at all, so that their muscles shrink over time.

We have had many female patients who show some Instagram or Facebook photos of other skinny women with extremely slim and smooth arms. Some were very obviously Photoshopped, some were not. But, all of them share a common feature, smooth, round arms, without a hint of muscles definition. Most women want this kind of arms. Is it possible? The answer is yes! All the photographs shown were those of Far East Asian women (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Far East Asian women are mostly slim. The problem is that they maintain their weight not by exercising or working out, but by crash dieting. Most do not eat proper meals. They just drink liquid supplements to replace meals. Most eat once every 2 days. They also do not like to exercise. As a result of this, although they are skinny, they have thick layer of fat on top of their muscles, hiding their muscles. As they do not work-out at all, their muscles also shrink in size, a condition known medically as disuse atrophy. This is what happens in a stroke patient who is bed-bound and cannot walk. When a stroke patient does not use his legs muscles to walk, the legs muscles eventually shrink in size. The legs become thinner and thinner, until they are as thin as a stick. Therefore, when your muscles shrink in size because you do not work out, and there is a thick layer of fat above the muscles, you appear slim and smooth and round, a condition known as “skinny-fat” which is very prevalent in Asians of Chinese, Korean and Japanese origin. This is why the surgical procedure of cutting away the calves muscles is very popular in Korea. Because the women there do not like muscles! So, if you do not like the appearance of muscles and yet you still want to appear slim, the only way to do that is not to work out your muscles at all so that they eventually shrink with time, and at the same time you gain fat because you do not exercise, which is very good for hiding muscles. Fat is located under the skin, above the muscles. Therefore, if you have thick layer of fat, there is no way you can see the definition of your muscles. We have shown so many such “skinny-fat” cases in our case studies, both on this Vlog as well as our now-defunct YouTube channel.

So, why is this patient returning to Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie again if she is unhappy with the result? Well, after coming to her senses, she wants even more fat to be taken out from her shoulders and upper back, and have the fat injected into her buttocks, which were previously screwed up in Taipei. Does she have to pay for “touch-up” liposuction? Definitely, yes! Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie does NOT provide FREE touch-up surgery! Many surgeons out there actually offer FREE touch-up surgery until you are completely happy. Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie takes pride in his works. He puts his heart and soul into each of his work. If you still do not like the result after that and you wish to get “touch-up”, you have to pay for it! If you do not like this idea, you are welcome to look for other surgeons who provide free touch-up. We never point a gun at your head and force you to come to us! If you do not like the result after multiple touch-ups like what this patient had (she had 3 touch-up surgeries to her buttocks in Taipei), you are always welcome to come to us for revision surgery!
