This woman in her early-30s had thighs liposuction in Bangkok a year ago and ended up with thighs which appear like they had been bitten by wild animals in the jungles, with irregular dents here and there. Why? Because like most patients, she chose to get only inner and outer thighs liposuction done, ignoring the rest of her thighs. Unfortunately, just like kebab, the thighs are cylindrical in shape, therefore it is impossible not to get lopsided kebab and dents if you decide to cut the kebab just in the center and not throughout the entire length and the entire circumference of the kebab. And most unfortunately is that most surgeons do not explain to patients that they would never get good result if a 3D liposuction is not being performed! Why would surgeons not tell their patients upfront about this risk? There are 3 possible reasons:
- 3D liposuction costs a lot more. - It is much more dangerous to perform circumferential liposuction as the risk of extremely bad swelling is high, especially if the liposuction is performed with machines. Excessive swelling may lead to blood stasis, which results in blood clot, which may eventually result in these clots traveling to the lungs, causing pulmonary embolism, and death! Fortunately, using just a plastic syringe to perform liposuction is extremely safe and the risk of excessive swelling and blood clot formation is almost non-existent. Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie has performed more than 10,000 cases of liposuction in the last 15 years with nothing but a plastic syringe, and he has not a single case of complication! - The surgeon has received no training and is not experienced in performing 3D liposuction.
