This young woman in her late-20s embarked on her whole body liposuction journey with Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie 3 years ago. During the first session, Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie performed liposuction on her thunder thighs followed by abdominal liposuction 6 months later, and subsequently arms liposuction 5 months after abdominal liposuction. One year after completing her arms liposuction, she now returns for jowls and neck/double chin liposuction. Unfortunately, she has gained significant weight during the last 1-2 years. But, the good thing with liposuction is that the fat cells are aspirated out from the body, hence they are permanently gone! Although she is bigger now, all the shapes and definitions which Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie sculpted for her, are still retained. One can see that she still has well-defined arms, hour-glass figure and shapely thighs with thigh gap. It is just they are thicker than immediately after liposuction. With dieting and exercising, however, the story line would be different. Diet and exercising burn calories stored in fat cells, hence fat cells shrink in size. But, their number remains constant, unlike in liposuction where the number of fat cells in the body is actually reduced. When one could not adhere to the same lifestyle and diet anymore, fat cells would rebound to their previous size or even bigger. In a lipo-ed area, however, although fat cells may grow bigger, but since the number of fat cells has been reduced with liposuction, that area can never grow as big as before liposuction anymore. Moreover, all the definition resulting from lipo-sculpting will still retain the shape, as one can see in the result of this case study.
