After 17 years, student’s discount is back!

Yes, we heard you.

Your mothers or/and aunties came to L’Élixir de Vie and were given huge discounts 17 years ago. Since then, our liposuction fee has increased multiple folds. Not only that, but also, we no longer offer special student’s rate today. Why is life so unfair?

The teens and tweens who benefited from our student’s discount back in the late 2000s since our clinic opening in 2008, up to early 2010s, would most definitely agree that Dr. Arthur Tjandra’s signature 3-dimensional liposuction they painstakingly saved up for back then, was the best investment they had ever made in their lives!

Back then, we offered student’s rate of SGD 90/area for liposuction, which made a 3-dimensional liposuction affordable to even students. Most decided to save up to complete a whole-body 3D liposuction. With a new body and new appearance, they got a new lease in life, career and romance.

Regardless of what you want to believe, evidence-based scientific studies have shown that women with slim bodies have much higher success in life, career, income and romance.

• A study conducted by researchers at the University of Florida and London Business School showed that being slim translates into bigger paychecks for women.
• A study published in British Medical Journal, conducted by American and British scientists, revealed that girls with bigger bodies tend to grow up to become women with lower socioeconomic status.
• A study by scientists at the University of Aberdeen on thousands of participants from 10 countries, revealed that men find thinner women attractive because they associate their body shape with youth, fertility and a lower risk of disease. Men are more likely to wed women with slim bodies.
• A study conducted by scientists at the University of West Scotland revealed that men who date women with slim waists are less likely to have erectile dysfunction.

In order to be fair to the daughters and nieces of our patients who come knocking on our door begging for the same discounts their mothers and aunties had, almost 2 decades ago, we are re-introducing our student’s discount.

It was actually a win-win solution. Our young patients get great results, we get great photos and videos! Young people have skin with better elasticity. Teens and tweens are also most often not married and have not given birth. Good skin elasticity with no post-pregnancy stretch marks and/or rectus diastasis almost certainly ensure a perfect outcome, provided that these women are put into a pair of skilled hands and most importantly by making them understand the importance of 3-dimensional liposuction and making 3-dimensional liposuction affordable for them.

This was why we were able to publish thousands of videos of our liposuction surgeries on our YouTube channel back in the 2010s. People were wondering why our results were so perfect! There were 3 reasons: the patients were teens and tweens with extremely good skin elasticity, they could afford to pay for 3-dimensional liposuction and the liposuction was performed by the King of Liposuction, Dr. Arthur Tjandra, whom, unfortunately promotes awake syringe liposuction under local anesthesia, which hardly any surgeon performs anymore today!

But the results were too perfect that they raised alarm bells which made our competitors feel threatened and prompted our competitors to lobby YouTube to terminate our channel. In the month when YouTube terminated our channel, 329,220,000 viewers watched our videos. Yes, that’s more than 329 million viewers in one month! No other surgeons in the entire world were able to garner so many views for their channels! Our channel must be terminated at all costs!

However, although we would love to make this student’s discount available to all students in the world, we must remember the very reason why we withdrew the student’s discount in the first place and why we have been increasing our liposuction fee every single year since the mid-2010s. It was because Dr. Arthur Tjandra suffered repetitive strain injuries on his fingers, hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders repeatedly, from performing too many liposuction surgeries. Because his fees were so low, there were a lot of demands for his services. He ended up performing 2 liposuction surgeries manually, using only syringes and nothing else, every single day. He spent a total of 5 to 8 hours a day performing physical labor. As early as early 2010s, he suffered the consequences of abusing his body. He had to give up weightlifting because of pain. He suffered golfers’ elbows without even playing golf. He had to dip his hands in ice water after performing liposuction to numb the pain on his fingers and to reduce swelling. After suffering for a few years, he decided to dial back and increase his fees significantly in order to reduce his workloads. Although he loves creating masterpieces, his health is more important.

Therefore, although we are bringing back the student’s discount today, we apologize that we are unable to offer it to all students. It would be on a case-by-case basis and offered to only those who are most likely to obtain perfect results, and those who are most likely to complete a full whole-body liposuction. Dr. Arthur Tjandra is not merely a surgeon. He is also an artist. What matters to an artist most is the ability to create masterpiece after masterpiece and to showcase his masterpieces for the whole world to see. Students who would like to get special student’s discount are, therefore, required to sign photographic and videographic consent forms to allow photos and videos to be published, without showing their faces, unless they opt for student’s discount for facial surgeries, too.

We may or may not re-establish our YouTube channel again. It is unrealistic to expect our competitors would allow us to grow our channel that big again. No one expected a surgeon in Indonesia, a 3rd world country, would grow so big and become world famous back then. But now, they will keep watching us like hawks. They will not wait until we have 300 over million views in one month before shutting us down. By the time we have 10 views our channel will most likely be terminated already.
