This 25-year-old Chinese Singaporean model had thighs liposuction surgery in Singapore a year ago, but was unhappy with the result, because she did not see any difference at all after surgery. She was already slim to begin with. All she wanted was to make her thighs more defined, her knee caps more prominent and shapelier, as well as to get rid of her saddle bags, which made her buttocks appear sagging. Apparently, her previous plastic surgeon did not have any idea what she wanted to achieve. It is, unfortunately, also trickier to perform liposuction on someone who is slim already, as there is no room for error at all. The slightest over-aspiration or under-aspiration is going to show on the skin immediately as dents. When she came across Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie video case studies on YouTube which showed transformation from A-shaped granny butt to O-shaped bubble butt, she hopped onto the first plane out from Singapore to Medan!
This is a good case to show how even such a slim model could benefit from liposuction. The fact is that many women have mistaken saddle bags as hips. It is nice to have round hips, but not round saddle bags. Saddle bags are located below the hips, at the side of the lower border of the buttocks. When one has saddle bags which protrude out wider than their hips, one’s buttocks appear A-shaped and droopy. This is what Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie describes as “granny butt”. Granny butt is not appealing at all. But, bubble buttocks, the ones where hips are the widest points, instead of saddle bags, are. Most women, unfortunately, have A-shaped, rather than O-shaped bottoms.
Likewise, round knees which protrude along the inner thighs are not appealing. Unfortunately, unlike men who do not usually have fat around their knees, most women actually have thick layer of fat around their knees, especially the inner aspects of their knees. This case study shows the transformation one can expect to achieve with the removal of saddle bags and fat in the knees. But, it is impossible to take fat out just from the saddle bags and knees, without performing liposuction on the entire length and circumference of the thighs, without creating unevenness and dents. Think of the thighs as kebab. Is it possible to carve out only the upper and lower parts of kebab only on one side, without creating dents?
