This 21-year-old Chinese Singaporean student had lost 30 kg of weight, from 104 kg to 74 kg, before coming to Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie for arms liposuction. Even after losing 30 kg of weight, Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie still managed to aspirate 2.2 liters of fat out from her arms!
One has to remember that the only permanent way to get rid of fat is through liposuction. When one exercises and goes on diet, fat cells merely shrink in size, but the number of fat cells remain unchanged. This is why fad diets, which you cannot embrace and adhere to for the rest of your life do not work! They only work when you are taking those diets. But how long can you live with nothing but protein shake or cucumber juice, day in and day out, and nothing else? With liposuction, however, the fat cells are aspirated out from the body, hence the number of fat cells remaining in the body is permanently reduced. Therefore, it is very easy for one to get fat again after losing weight through dieting and exercise, once there is a net positive balance of caloric intake, because all the extra calories will go straight into existing fat cells and blow them up! However, it is much harder to blow-up post-liposuction areas of the body with extra calories intake, because there are much less remaining fat cells to feed and blow-up after liposuction. Extra calories will go to other areas of the body which have not been lipo-ed instead.
