WEBSITE INI TIDAK BOLEH DIPERTUNJUKKAN KEPADA ORANG INDONESIA MAUPUN DI WILAYAH NEGARA KESATUAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA. APABILA ANDA ADALAH ORANG INDONESIA, HARAP TINGGALKAN SITUS INI SEKARANG JUGA!!!!!!!

This Jakartan socialite, a Chinese Indonesian in her early-30s, who is the daughter of one of the wealthiest men listed on Forbes Indonesia’s 50 Richest List, had initially wanted to head to Seoul for her liposuction. Unable to travel because of Covid-19 travel restriction, she eventually settled for whole body liposuction with water-jet device in Jakarta for IDR 200 million (approx. SGD 20,000); which she thought was extremely cheap. But, that is 200 years of salary for normal working class Jakartans! Even Dr Arthur Tjandra has never seen this much money in his entire life!

But, she did not like the result of her whole body liposuction at all. She claims that she cannot see any difference after liposuction! When she went back to complain to her plastic surgeon 1 year later, as she was told that she would not see any result until a year later, she was advised by her plastic surgeon that he had done everything he could to take out all her fat! There was nothing to be taken out anymore, he said.

That was when she decided to do another research, and came across Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie……….again! She first came across Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie back in the mid-2010s, but when she learned that Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie was practicing in Medan, which wealthy and proud Jakartans see as an undeveloped and primitive city, although Medan is the 3rd largest city in Indonesia, and noted that he was charging only approx. SGD 800 for liposuction back then, she was unconvinced. As a matter of fact, patients who had come to us in 2008, would surely remember that we were charging only SGD 150 per area for liposuction! How could someone charge so cheaply for liposuction, right? If it was too good to be true, it probably was. This surgeon must be a cheat, she thought. And this is why, we have been increasing our surgery fees every year. We learned from patients’ feedback, that most of them had found out about us long before they finally decided to come to us for revision liposuction. They decided not to come to us initially for their primary surgeries, because we were charging too cheaply. They only came to us later on, in this provincial city in a third world country, because they had no choice. No one seemed to be able to correct what their previous surgeons had done to them!

Anyway, by watching the videos posted below, one could learn why this patient’s previous plastic surgeon could not produce good result. It was because he did not even perform a circumferential liposuction, let alone a 3-dimensional liposuction! A circumferential liposuction is a 360-degree liposuction of the entire circumference of the arms. A 3D liposuction is a circumferential liposuction of the arms, PLUS all the adjacent areas which matter, such as the shoulders, armpits and upper back. You cannot have slim arms, but bulging shoulders, armpits and upper back, right? Your entire upper body will look like KFC fried chicken drumstick this way!

Likewise, when one gets abdominal liposuction, to achieve excellent result, liposuction should not be performed only on the anterior abdomen, but also on the waist, the flanks, the lower back and the love handles! This is Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie‘s signature 3D liposuction surgery! However, a circumferential or/and 3D liposuction carries risk of death if it is performed with mechanical liposuction device, as we have explained in great detail elsewhere on this Vlog. The only safe way to perform circumferential and 3D liposuction is with nothing but a syringe! However, as we all know, syringe liposuction is an outdated method of liposuction which was no longer taught in plastic surgery residency training in the 2000s. The last time syringe liposuction was taught in residency training was back in the early- to mid-1990s. It was slowly phased-out in the late 1990s as liposuction device manufacturers started lobbying hospitals, clinics and surgeons to use liposuction devices, instead of syringe, to perform liposuction.

From the videos shown below, one can observe that this patient’s previous plastic surgeon made so many long incisions all around her body, but performed liposuction on only the back of her lower arms, waist and inner thighs. What was the intention of creating so many incisions if liposuction was only performed on these 3 small areas? It was not clear. The patient was not aware, too. She had thought that liposuction was performed on her whole body, because of the large number of incisions made all around her body. She only found out about the true nature of her previous liposuction after she came to Dr Arthur Tjandra of Elixir de Vie.

This is a lesson for all prospective patients who are undergoing liposuction surgery. Do ask your surgeon to mark out the exact areas which he would perform liposuction on. Record it on video if needed to. Take a before and after video. Photographs can be edited/Photoshopped easily. Do not just take his words for it. In this case, this patient was promised a whole body liposuction for IDR 200 million. But, upon closer examination, liposuction was performed on only 3 small areas of her body: the back of her lower arms (not circumferential!), waist and inner thighs.

Liposuction on only her inner thighs left her with dents, hence she requested to have autologous fat grafting to fill up those long dents over her inner thighs. Thighs are circumferential structure in nature. If you take out fat only from only 1 small stretch of the thighs, you will definitely be left with a long stretch of dent! Think of kebab! How would you shave meat from kebab? If you are unsure, go and buy kebab and observe how they shave it!

Some prospective patients have complained that our case studies are too long. There are too many words for them to read. So are our videos. They are too long, and too many. After all, as of today, we have published 8,780 videos on this Vlog. Which surgeons in the world have been so transparent and published more than 8,000 of their surgical videos for the entire world to scrutinize? Even YouTube terminated our channel because of this!

So, because our website consists of too many words and too many videos, which make them too lazy to go through, these prospective patients decide not to come to us. We have asked them, if our case studies and the thousands of videos we have published could not convince them to come to us, what could? Their answers are, if some famous “influencers” endorse our surgeon or clinic on Instagram, they definitely would come to us, without even thinking twice! And without the need to read so many words and watch so many videos. After all, they trust what “influencers” say.

Ah well…….. This is definitely not the type of patients we want, for sure. We think we will stick to our current practice of not paying for advertisements and endorsements, and continue to publish real-life video case studies. Hopefully all those who come to us are educated clients who have done their research well; who have spent at least a few years watching our video case studies before coming to us for surgeries. As a matter of fact, we have hardly ever accepted prospective patients who have not been watching our video case studies for at least 1 to 2 years, for surgeries! Our Client Services Coordinator has been specifically instructed to ask prospective patients to spend at least 1 to 2 years watching our videos before deciding to come to us for surgeries. If you have not followed us and watched our videos for at least one year before booking a surgery slot, you will definitely be rejected! We definitely do not want someone who buys something because some influencers say it’s good on Instagram, to come to us for surgery! We want you to do your own research and make an informed decision to come to us for your surgery. Not because someone asks you to do so! And those persons get paid for doing so!
